Glennys Marsdon

glennysGlennys Marsdon B.Psych

Owner of The Customers Voice, Glennys has spent over 20 years working in consumer psychology researching why we do the things we do.  While she has enjoyed the challenge of helping organisations develop new products and advertising campaigns, she was drawn to research that investigated social issues. If you were: in Fremantle during the Americas Cup; caught a train up the northern freeway; remember the HBF Ted ads; the Speed Catches Up With You amphetamine ads; or survived domestic violence/sexual assaulted you’ve seen some of her work.

Three time author, her first book 50 Ways To Grieve Your Lover, was used by counsellors in the Victorian Bush Fires, along with the NZ Pike Mine Disaster, and the e-version continues to sell internationally.

In 2011, without her knowing, a friend entered her in a worldwide competition and as a result she was profiled by American internet and marketing guru Seth Godin in his book Tales of a Revolution: True stories of people poking the box and making a difference.

This year she has published Me Time: 100 strategies and tips for getting guilt free Me Time. The book is based on nine months of chatting with Australians, where she identified guilt a key barrier to enjoying Me Time.  Consequently she reviewed medical literature for ways to reduce the guilt.

Her third book is an e-book called To e-publish or not To e-publish.

She is the Social Representative of the Australian Society of Authors in WA, contributes to WellnessWA, Melbourne’s The Weekly Review, ABC.net, and SuperLiving. After just 12 months her blog The Ponder Room is read in over 30 countries.
